Garrucha - Palm Sunday

It's the Sunday before Easter, the beginning of the festival season here in Spain which celebrates "Santa de Samana" (Holy Week). The beach town closest to us at Mojacar had the best local ceremony, so a few "Catolicas" decided to see how the Spanish do it in Garrucha. Besides very late -Mass was scheduled for 10am - we decided to have a coffee first, knowing that the locals were, shall we say, a bit tardy in their starting times...... we left the procession at around 12:30, having exhausted our holiness and ability to walk extremely slowly, and they hadn't reached the church!
So here's what the local version is like - (we hope to take in a more spectacular procession for Holy Thursday).
